Whole wheat dates walnut cupcakes

These cupcakes r generally made during Christmas celebrations which r generally made with plain flour but I used wheat flour as a healthy alternative.


  1. For soaking
  2. 2 cup dates (300 GMs)
  3. 1 cup hot milk
  4. For cake batter
  5. 3/4 cup olive oil
  6. 1/4 cup curd
  7. 2 cup wheat flour
  8. 1 tsp baking powder
  9. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  10. 1/2 cup milk
  11. 1/2 cup walnuts
  12. 5 dates chopped
  13. 50 GMs whipped cream for topping
  14. As needed Sprinkler for garnish


  1. Take the blended dates paste in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Add in olive oil and curd. Blend well until mixture is well combined.

  3. Place the sieve and add wheat flour, baking powder and baking soda.

  4. Blend and mix well until the mixture is combined.

  5. Further, add walnuts and dates. Mix by combining using spatula.

  6. Transfer the batter into silicone baking moulds.

  7. Pat the moulds twice to remove air incorporated into the batter.

  8. Top with more walnuts to make it look more attractive.

  9. Place the baking moulds into preheated oven for 35 minutes.

  10. Finally serve dates cake by frosting with vanilla flavour whipped cream and garnish with sprinklers of ur choice.

  11. Enjoy endlessly..
