It’s very simple and delicious food for all rice lovers
really tummy filling

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup long grain basmati rice (washed and soaked for 20 minutes)
  2. 2 tbsp oil
  3. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  4. 1/4 tsp hing
  5. 2 bay leaves
  6. 8-10 black peppercorns
  7. 2 sliced onions
  8. 1 tsp coriander powder
  9. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1 tsp garam masala
  11. 1 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  12. 1/4 cup cashews
  13. 7-8 potatoes wedges
  14. 1 cup green peas
  15. 1/2 cup finally chopped coriander
  16. 2 1/2 cup water
  17. 2 tsp lemon juice
  18. to taste Salt

Steps

  1. In a pan heat oil and add cumin seeds, hing, bay leaves, black peppercorns and sauté for a minute.

  2. Add onions, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste and sauté for 4-5 minutes.

       

  1. Add cashews and potato wedges, stir and cover with a lid and cook for 5-7 minutes.

  1. Add green peas, coriander, water and stir.

  1. Cover and cook until moisture evaporates.
     6. Add rice, salt to taste and lime juice and gently stir.
       
     7. Finally add water and cook uncovered until moisture evaporate. Stir rice very gently.
       
     8. Cover with lid and cook for 8-10 minutes on low flame. Garnish with finely chopped coriander.
       
     9. Yummylicious peas pulao are ready to be served with raita.
