  1. 1/2 cup yellow moong dal
  2. 1/2 cup chana dal
  3. 1/2 cup urad dal
  4. 1/2 cup green moong dal
  5. Handful masoor dal
  6. 1/2 cup rice
  7. 1 tsp salt
  8. 1 tsp ginger green chilli paste
  9. For tempering:
  10. 1 tsp oil
  11. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  12. 1/4 tsp hing
  13. 1 tbsp curry leaves


      1. Mix all dals and wash thoroughly. Soak for 4-5 hours.


2. After 4 hours grind to paste and cover it and let it ferment for 4-5 hours.

3. After fermenting add salt and ginger green chilli paste.

4. In the meanwhile grease idli stand and allow it to stand on flame for 4-5 minutes.

     5. Now add Eno packet in batter and mix vigorously and pour the batter into idli stand with the help           of spoon.
    6. Steam for 20 minutes
    7. After 20 minutes healthy multigrain idli r ready to be served by tempering with mustard seeds                crackled in oil, pinch of hing and some curry leaves.
    8. Serve with tomato ketchup. Enjoy endlessly..
