Ingredients

  1. 2 cups wheat flour
  2. 1/4 cup besan
  3. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  4. 1 tsp sesame seeds
  5. 1/4 tsp turmeric
  6. 1 tbsp fresh green garlic chopped
  7. 1 green chilli chopped
  8. to taste Salt
  9. 1 cup Methi leaves chopped
  10. 1/2 cup curd
  11. 2 tsp oil
  12. 5 tsp ghee for roasting
  13. Water as required to knead dough

Steps

  1. First, in a large mixing bowl take wheat flour and besan.

  2. Also add chilli powder, turmeric, sesame seeds and salt. Add green chilli and garlic.

  3. Now add chopped Methi leaves. Give a rough mix making sure that spices r mixed well.

  4. Furthermore, add half cup of curd and combine the dough well.

  5. Additionally add some water and knead the dough. Knead the dough to soft and smooth texture like that of chapattis dough.

  6. Add 2 tsp oil and knead the dough for more 5 minutes. Now pinch a medium sized ball dough, roll and flatten it.

  7. Also dust with some wheat flour, further roll it in thin circle like parantha. Now on a hot tawa place the rolled parantha and cook for a minute. Further, when the base is partly cooked, flip the methi parantha.

  8. Also brush ghee and press slightly. Finally serve Methi parantha with curd, amla pickle.
