Kesri halwa


2 persons
1 cup suji
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp ghee
2 small elachi
Few saffron strands soaked in milk
3 cups water
some cashews cut into halfs
some deccicated coconut for garnishing
1 pinch orange food colour
Take a thick bottom pan. Add ghee
Now add suji. Roast it on low flame
In another pan add 3 cups water once boiled add sugar and small elachi
Stir continuously till sugar melts. Add a pinch of orange food colour
Once suji is roasted. Gradually add sugar-water mixture. Also, add the saffron milk
Cover it and keep it on low flame for 5 mins
Once the oil is released on the sides of the pan. Halwa is ready
Garnish it with cashews and coconut. Serve hot
