  1. 1/2 cup semolina
  2. 1 mashed banana
  3. 1 tbsp raisins
  4. 1/2 cup ghee
  5. as needed saffron strands
  6. 2 tbsp blanched and chopped pistachios
  7. 1/2 cup warm water
  8. 2 cups water
  9. 1/4 cup sugar
  10. 1 tsp cardamom powder


  1. Roast semolina till it turns light golden colour and gibes off a nutty aroma and set aside.

    2. Heat a pan and melt 1 tbsp ghee. Caramelise a mashed banana and raisins. Mix well until the banana is caramelised well

     3. Heat a heavy bottomed pan and melt 1/2 cup ghee and add roasted semolina and mix well..

    4. Add saffron strands and pistachios and mix well.

5. Now add caramelised banana and combine everything.

  1. Add water and milk, mix well and cover and cook for 7-8 minutes on low flame.

  1. Finally add sugar and cardamom powder and combine everything well. Cover and cook for 4-5               minutes.

  1. Banana semolina sheera is ready to be served..
